Telling the stories of Texas with photographs (and words too...)
The Church of the Visitation stood here in Westphalia, Texas for nearly 125 years before burning in July. I wish I’d made it out that way before then, but I’m glad we stopped by yesterday.
Fortunately, the congregation has a parish hall where they gather as they work toward rebuilding.
Westphalia is a neat little town. Even though the historic church building is now a memory, there are still a number of lovely historic buildings in town!
Now we may gather with our King
E’en in the lowliest dwelling;
Praises to Him we there may bring,
His wondrous mercy forthtelling.
Jesus His grace to us accords;
Spirit and life are all His words;
His truth doth hallow the temple.
